I installed VMWare Fusion in my new macbook because I wanted to make a gradual transition to OSX. It works flawlessly, all my DOS based programs runs on the windows side and I am able to load up my familiar windows apps. The only problem is when I am on the windows side, I cannot see the CD's in the drive. I found out later I have to drag the contents from the OSX side to the windows side. Maybe there is an easier way to do this but it is not bad really.
Best MAC companion to have another OX running along side OS/X February 8, 2008
Very easy to install and use product. The integration into OS/X 10.5 is great. Running Windows (many flavors) to run those key applications that there are no good MAC equals. Real slick, real easy, no MAC problems running VMWare. My MAC runs great, and the Linux, and Windows apps run great. The feature to run apps in their application window inside a MAC window is real slick (unity mode). Fusion is just a way cool application I'd put on the must have list for your MAC.
Buying via Amazon was painless and I got exactly what I ordered, in excellent condition, but a little slower than expected.

Very happy with Fusion so far. Can use any hardware, any software--I have the UNIVERSAL computer! Be careful when installing windows to follow the Fusion instructions in the order they are given, or windows will give you a hard time with activation (if you are using Bootcamp in addition to Fusion). I wasted an entire day with networking and activation. Running on a Macbook Pro w/Leopard and Windows XP Professional. Soon will add my favorite flavor Linux to the bunch!

I am in disbelief at how well this program runs. I have had it installed now for a month on my new macbook and I can now run apple software and windows software flawlessly. I tried Parallells software first and it was buggy and frustrating. Thank you VMware Fusion!!

I am using a mac but also needed to run Windows based programs. I started using Parallels but still had a couple of programs that just wouldn't work. I thought it was something I was going to have to live with... until I found out about Fusion. Being new to the virtual world, I was at first hesitant to download the free 30 day trial to test out the program. Once I got up the courage, I have been very pleased. Those programs I was having difficulty running before are no longer a problem!! I am also having much more success with my various USB devices. It is very easy to switch back and forth between Mac and Windows environments. I have been so pleased with this program that I bought a copy before my 30 day trial was ended. This program has definitely met my needs and I finally deleted my other virtual PC program since I no longer need it.
