5 out of 5 stars Great software   April 6, 2008

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 does a lot of things that version 5 would not do. The way it handles storage of photos is superior.

4 out of 5 stars Great program, lousy documentation   April 6, 2008

Excellent program with a wide range of tools for handling pictures. It comes with absolutely minimal instruction in how to use it. Buy a book at the same time!

1 out of 5 stars Save your pennies   April 6, 2008

I tried this product when it was in its fourth edition and did not care for it. However, since its now in its sixth edition, I thought I would try it again because I felt enough time had passed that there would be marked improvement. Boy, was I wrong. Save your pennies and buy, for the same cost or less, Corel's Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 which is simply superior. It does the same things and more, plus it has the familiar folders in which to organize your photos which Adobe Elements does not.

excellent update for photoshop with out going professional. Now, I just need to learn how to use all of it's features, something I am looking forward to.

1 out of 5 stars Avoid   April 6, 2008

Working in Windows XP, when I have more than one image open in Elements 6, Elements crashes. I cannot indicate exactly why: my monitor is a 24" and videocard has 128MB RAM, computer has 2.5GB RAM, 2.8 GHz intel processor from April 2004. But I regret this purchase - not from Amazon, but this is a good place for a warning - avoid. Using my old Elements 3 again.
