This is the answer for organizing....I have 100's & 100's of pics. and needed to organize them, this is such an easy way to do it. It also has so many other things you can do to /with your pictures, I haven't tried everything yet, but so far I have been VERY pleased!!

4 out of 5 stars Review of Photoshop Elements   June 9, 2008

After years of hesitation, I finally bit the bullet and puchased a copy of Photoshop Elements. I've tried their trial versions in the past, and I've used another brand for a dozen years, but the Adobe products of Photoshop and Photoshop Elements are the standard.

Positives - incredible array of feautures at this price point; great in-product help and on-line resources; additional resources in print and other sites

Negatives - needs lots of RAMor it willl run very slowly; not very intuitive.

If you have room for it's installation size and RAM to help it run well, it can be a great low-cost solution. I would recommend the Photoshop Elements 'Classroom in a Book' or other guides to help understand the vast array of features and benefits.

Sometimes when buying an upgrade to an application it is hard to see the improvements, That is not the case with PS6 for Mac. It is a great improvement over the previous versions. Easy to use and lots of new features..

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6

I haven't used Photoshop Elements much in the past although I do have versions 2 through 4 installed. I began using PSE 6 on a regular basis shortly after it came out and find it to be a great program. The new features in this version are very helpful. I'm a Photoshop user, so do miss some of the features of the full fledged program, but overall would definitely recommend it. My biggest problem with it is the new darker interface. I personally would prefer something lighter. Each version improves PSE's capabilities and for most folks it would most certainly do everything that is needed to improve photographs. It is beginner friendly yet powerful.

5 out of 5 stars A Giant Leap for Photoshop Elements 6 - both MacIntosh and Windows Vista   June 5, 2008

I have had Mac Photoshop Elements 6,4, and 3 and now a Windows Vista Elements 6. I also have had Lightroom since its introduction. Elements 6 is visually similar to Lightroom and not like what preceded it. Unless you do graphics design and/or create images that begin as photographs, then Elements 6 should work great and at a significally smaller budget. You can use Lightroom and within it you can take your image to Photoshop Elements 6 and then return to Lightroom. Spectacular -- even better if you have a PC because, for Father's Day you can get s sginificant price break from Amazon.com. I am just finishing a 30 day trial for my PC and will be getting a PC Windows Vista DVD for myself even though I am not a father. It's my wonderful gift to me.
I have had the long-awaited Mac version since the week it debuted. I have not regretted my purchase especially since I can handle RAW (Nikon NEF) images within both of the Elements and Lightroom.
Get Elements 6 and Lightroom both if you can.
I am a fairly advanced amateur photographer but Elements 6 Mac will lead you through each of the steps you want to use and it is like having a tutor on your shoulder.
Try them, you will like them!
