5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product   April 20, 2008
I've been using Microsof Live OneCare for the last two years. The antivirus protection is great, and you can install the software in three computers... always paying the same price. I highly recommend this product.

4 out of 5 stars Thumbs up by a true tech!   April 15, 2008
Works silently and in unison with Vista once configured. If it's Windows you're trying to protect what better means than a Microsoft product.

4 out of 5 stars Better than Norton?   April 13, 2008

I was a long term Norton user and with Vista on all my computers it just didn't work out anymore. Mail was slow, System Restor didn't work, etc... I tested OneCare 2 first through VirtualPC for about two months. No matter what I tried to get system infected, OnceCare took care of the problem... I'm running OneCare on all my computers for the last month and so far no problems. I don't know where is this product getting so many bad reviews? It serves the purpose, it is not a resource hog and you can get a real deal on Amazon (you don't have to extend it on-line if don't want to do so). I had to call tech support (wanted to know if you can have it on 4 computers) and it took 4 minutes to speak to a real person.

So yes, my opinion is that this product is far better than Norton 360 (or Internet Security). Giving it 4 stars just because I would like to have a bit more options to "play" with.

1 out of 5 stars Warning   April 12, 2008

Unfortunately Microsoft, in typical anti-competitive behavior, has made sure that you cannot use other vendors products once you install OneCare Live, without constant warnings. They believe that using other scanners (not in real time) to find additional problems should never be allowed. If you install this you will be warned if you use Ad-Aware or SpyBot SD, both of which are free products. OneCare Live is known to not catch a number of infections, so occasionally scanning with another product is advisable. You should never run more than one scanner product in real-time, however, manually scanning with more than one is advisable. Microsoft once again is trying to irradiate competitors instead of focusing on the viruses and spyware on your computer. You would have think they would have learned something from the IE lawsuits.
