Many " super" software items arer NOT super!
The acronis product does everything it promises. Instructions could be a little better. but, It works fast and very well. I recomment it to anyone.

I have not had time to use this particular Acronis True Image 11 Home
as yet. I have uded Acronis True Image before and have always found it
to be very good, easy to use.
Great Product for Quick Restore August 1, 2008

This Product works Great. Have used it for a couple months. Started windows with a fresh install plus all the essentials - then installed True Image. This made a backup of my system where everything works great. After a couple months my computer was running slow so I did a True Image restore - took about 10 minutes and everything was back in great running order just like a fresh install without the long process of formatting and reinstalling everything.

I first bought Acronis 8 at the recommendation of the techie at work who restored my dekstop after it got fried from an electrical fire in my building. Over the years, I've used it to make backups before making major system changes, to restore files to a new hard drive, and to move files to a new computer. After seeing all the bad reviews on version 11, I downloaded the 15-day trial from the Acronis site; I've since purchased this from Amazon at the cheaper price. I've bought two new computers since then and used Acronis images to move my files. I schedule full backups weekly and incremental backups nightly. I also often mount a virtual drive of my desktop image from my mini external drive when I'm using my laptop or vice versa. In terms of technical savvy, I'm no expert but in three years of using Acronis, I've not had a problem yet (fingers crossed).
Really cost effective backup July 26, 2008

After over 40 years in IT and wanting to insure I had weekly backups of my home computer I had to find another resource than Backup Exec when Microsoft put out SP3 for XP. This is it, Fast, Easy to Use, Full or File Backup and Restore, plus some other really good utilities like "shredder". Would recommend, great value for cost.
