I've been using Quicken since it first appeared in DOS format (1991-92). It has made my overall bookkeeping a breeze and at the end of the year I easily transferred my figures into Turbo Tax. The set up is quite easy and once you set up a posting system it will be easy to keep up with almost all aspects of your accounting.
The unfortunate part I have to report about Quicken is that I was using the 2005 version and was literally forced by Intuit to have to purchase this new version in order to continue to download my bank account figures. This is the first time I was truly disappointed with Intuit and I recommend that any buyer look into the possibility of having to purchase a new version every few years.
If you carry itemized inventory and detailed accounts receivables I strongly recommend you purchase Quickbooks instead.

We bought Quicken over ten years ago for our personal finances and had Quickbooks for our hair salon business. Quicken, despite being slightly glitchy (whenever you download banking data, if you don't specify exact dates, it will create duplicate entries -otherwise does great!) was always a better, more convenient program than Quickbooks. We do booth rental so we don't have real complex needs. The Quicken Home & Business product does a great job and keeps things in better order than having the two separate products.

A very good product, serves my needs, I upgrade every three years with this program to maintain a business/home history of finances. It is the best, especially with daily auto download from the financial institutions I use.
