2 out of 5 stars Wouldn't Burn Video Clips   September 17, 2007
I downloaded the free trial version from their website, so I can't say, for sure, whether the commercial version would be different.

That being said, I wanted to burn Simpsons video clips onto a VCD so I could watch them on my DVD player. I set it up, selected the clips and then.... I got error messages saying that the program failed to grab the bitmap for the file (?)

I am running XP on an AMD eMachine.

4 out of 5 stars Well, it's cheap!   July 31, 2007

I bought this product since it was cheap and simple to use!
It burns very fast and easy to use. I also got a good deal(?) on the upgrade to 3.0 version, which covers audio and video files.

2 out of 5 stars not worth it   August 20, 2006

I needed simple quick-and-easy DVD burning software for saving data files. Fireman CD/DVD burner seemed ideal, being inexpensive and not being bloated with options I didn't want. But alas, it failed to see my CD/DVD burner, even though numerous other software packages can and work just fine. I could not get Fireman to work and tech support could not help. I gave it 2 stars because I did eventually get it to burn a DVD (but only if logged in as an administrator), the e-mail tech support folks did respond to my plea for help, and for some users it might be ok. But for me it was a wasted purchase. Even when functioning, its minimal capabilities were barely above a command-line interface experience, with little or no quality feedback. I wound up purchasing Roxio's Easy Media Creator 8; it cost a lot more, but worked without a glitch. (I am using an HP Pavillion dual core Athlon 64-X2 with WinXP/SP2.)
