 Great software but only load what you need June 19, 2008

I've only been using Nero 8 for a couple of days but so far it's exceeded my expectations. I ordered it in spite of a lot of negative reviews but took advice from those who warned only to load specific apps that you need. The result was it only took minutes to load on my Vista laptop. I'm using Nero Vision to burn Blu-Ray format HD on normal 4 gig DVD's & it works great. My advice is to do all of the more detailed editing on dedicated editing software such as Studio 11 & render to 1080i mp2 & then import to Nero Vision for final processing.
Useful functions, but with unexpected error June 16, 2008
This program has wonderful functions especially in video editing which people do not expect much from CD-burning program.
Only one glich is that this program seems to use a lot of memory resource and consiquently runs a little bit slow and is sometimes terminated only leaving error message.

Nero 8 Ultra is very easy to use, makes backup easier, and does all the conversions for you. Great product.

My son told me this was what I needed to purchase in order for me to be able to upload to You Tube. It works pretty easy and I love it. I'm a proud mom of 7 and one so far is a singer and I wanted to share his talents with family and friends from all over. So this product worked great for what I wanted and it was very user friendly. I was nervous at first to buy Nero, because of the bad comments, but there were plenty of good comments also, so I said - GO FOR IT!!! I'm happy that I purchased it, and now people can see my son!

Quite difficult to install (had to do it 3 times before it took, uninstalling each previous time). The portion that i use (data copy/burn) is more complex to use than the version 6 that I have. I an seriously thinking about switching back.
