This program was the sole reason for terrible lag on my computer -- AVG has a free client that is 100% better and causes no system lag. If you want to browse the web smoothly - DO NOT BUY A NORTON PRODUCT.

I purchased this to continue an NAV subscription for another year. I was tempted to jump to one of the other AV products, but stayed with Norton for three reasons. 1) As part of last year's subscription, NAV 2007 had already been updated to NAV 2008 and I had no problems with it. 2) Despite the lowly reviews of the recent Norton AV products, the competitive products also had their high share of one and two star reviews. 3) The 3 user version became available at Amazon at a good price with a rebate making the final cost $11.
I was also pleasantly surprised when the rebate debit card was in yesterday's mail - only 4 weeks from the purchase date. This is the first time a rebate has arrived long before I expected it. In the past I had been frustrated with the poor Symantec rebate process and response. I am hopeful that Symantec is working to improve their products and image to get back to the high standing that pre-Symantec Norton used to hold.
Amazon statement of 3 users is incorrect. September 30, 2008
You state this product can be used by 3 user, it can not. It is for 1 user with three PC's. If I had know that I would not have ordered and spent that much money.

I have used Norton Antivirus for a number of years and found it the best available. I usually wait until there is a discount, either online or from a local retail store. Unfortunately, the image shown on the Amazon site, when I placed my order, showed a mail-in discount on the front cover. I placed my order and was disappointed that there was no mail-in discount included. However, I was happy that I did save $10 over Norton's website price and my local retail stores.

What a waste of time and money.
The product installed alright but, gives Internal Program Error (3038,104). Basically, it will not run a scan.
Tried the suggestions it offered with no sucess. The next option was to "Contact Us". This resulted in the phone company telling me the phone number is no longer valid.
Online support has many options that took me down paths that did not correspond to the problem I'm having. Can you say $%*#!!!!!!
At present, I'm attempting to get a refund but, since I purchased mail order and, did actually install the product...it doesn't look good.
Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
