 A decent Security Program September 18, 2008
This was easy to install, except it seemed to take a long time, and I had to keep checking up on it, or else it would sort of "go to sleep" during installation. Which was kind of annoying because it would give me a message that said "This may take a few minutes...".
The Scan seems to pick stuff up which is good, but then every so often, it gives me a warning that says my computer is not protected. Which I think is weird because, Hey, I just installed this Internet Security thing! Also, some website run a but slower now as they are being security screened, but Its better than them not being screened.
I'm most happy that I no longer get the annoying pop up window I was getting "YOu computer may have viruses!" Click here to get protected! That was really annoying! But this McAfee thing seemed to stop that. Hooray!

I know the majority of the reviews for this product are bad, but honestly I have never had a problem installing the product, it has always worked fairly well with my system and I have had good results. The only thing I can complain about is the relative "slow-ness" of my computer after installation. But I can live with that since that is a sign the product is working.

This anti-virus software is the best I have used to date. It does a great job and is quiet about it. Not a lot of disturbing messages to worry about.
McAfee Internet Security September 11, 2008
We've installed the McAfee internet security suite on two of our computers so far, one new machine running Vista and one older machine running XP. The older machine was previously running a Norton product. Installation on both machines was relatively simple, but somewhat time consuming. We completely deleted the Norton product before we started, and did not run into any installation problems.
The McAfee internet security suite is running on both machines now with no significant slowdown in system operation. Overall, we are very happy with the product.
Loading McAfee over Norton a pain September 10, 2008
With this purchase, I switched from Norton Antivirus to McAfee's version. As I started installing the McAfee software, the software stopped loading and informed me that both Norton Antivirus and Norton Systemworks had to be uninstalled prior to installing McAfee software. This was very annoying since (1) I had to do the Norton unistall myself, (2) Norton Systemworks has the option to uninstall the antivirus portion while keeping the system utilities, but McAfee wouldn't load until Norton was completely uninstalled, and (3) there was no way to override or get around the McAfee program requirements.
Now that McAfee is installed, I like it, but the installation was a pain.
