Have had Bitdefender v10 installed on two computers with XP Home. No problems. Installed Bitdefender 2008 IS, now have problems with both computers. Computers freeze when using the "tune-up" feature. Worse, Bitdfender will shut off its security features with out any message of doing so. Holding the arrow over the Bitdefender icon in the tool bar, get a message saying there are no problems. Double click on the icon to open it's screen, then will see where all of the security features are not enabled. Contacting their support team, just get back "canned" answeres.
Have lost my trust in Bitdfender even though there are sites giving it a good rating.

Installed yesterday and removed today. Could not get it to recognize the registration - kept telling me it was the trial version and gave me a registration screen every time I logged in. Live help - don't even go there - one hung up on ME when she forgot to hit enter and said i did not respond? Second one hung up on me when I complained about the system not working properly - it is slower than a headgehog - hog is probably a good name for the software. Could not load pages online with any speed - I have DSL and this was worse than any dial up you can imagine. I do have Vista but this should not be the issue if the software is correct.
I had problems uninstalling, too - so just be ware of this product before you buy it and get nowhere with it.
Guess you get what you pay for - this was less expensive than others - and seemed to be recommended by PC magazines and other users - ??? Got me wondering how.

I am currently using a trial version of this product. I love it!! I was using my internet provider's internet security suite. I hated it!! My computer bogged down. It was not user-friendly. I then tried another popular internet security suite. In the past I had used an earlier version and was somewhat pleased. Their 2008 version did not look or operate like their earlier version. Affected the performance of my computer. I downloaded BitDefender without a glitch...smooth and fast. To my amazement my computer runs almost as well as it did new. I would highly recommend trying a trial version of this product. I'm very glad I did!

Installed this program on a newer (<1 year) XP machine and a brand new Vista laptop. Worked miserably on both computers, caused network errors, programs to stop functioning, etc. Very erratic in which programs it would stop and start. Brought the Vista machine to a crawl, had to uninstall it within a day. Very dissatisfied, would not buy or recommend.

This security suite was highly recommended which why I ordered it. I'm sure it does the job but for someone who is not computer savvy like me it could be more user friendly. I found it harder to understand what they wanted me to do when running a scan and had to call them in order to get instructions sent via email to remove malware from my computer. I never had to do that with the Kapersky that I had before. I do not recommend this product unless you have taken a lot of computer classes and are under 40.
