Reasonable Software October 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good addition to my MAC. It is necessary to go through a learning curve to become acustom to the various differences between the Windows and MAC versions. There should be more information in the package as to ome of the differences.
Better than expected, meets my needs October 7, 2008 After reading the reviews, I had much lower expectations when I purchased this product, but I haven't been disappointed yet! I'm in grad school for an MIS degree and haven't had a need yet that I haven't been able to meet -- with the exception of Access, which isn't a part of the package. I still use my PC as well, so I use it when I need to do something faster and can't spend time searching for a function, as well as when I need to use Access.
Great improvement October 7, 2008 As a very basic user, and consequently after some hesitation about whether or not I needed to upgrade, I recently bought the 2008 version for Mac Home and Student. What a big improvement and a generally much more friendly interface! The new toolbox feature in particular captures everything in one feature.
Gets the job done October 6, 2008 I purchased Office 2008 because my Mac didn't come with any sort of functional word processing. I was skeptical because of the other reviews, and I have only used Word to create and send documents - for which it has worked just fine. The only thing is that I have to save the document in ".doc Compatibility Mode" to email it, which is very easy though slightly annoying.
Very annoying... October 5, 2008 The new Microsoft Office is definitely flashier than any of the older versions, but I'm very disappointed with the functionality of it all, especially Excel and Word. I need to use the Data Analysis tool pack for many of my classes and it is not compatible with the new Excel which has been a real headache.
