MS has overdone it October 11, 2007 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Office 2007 is just horrible. It has so many unecessary gadgets and it's all icons. Anyone using Word should know how to read and not need ten icons on the top of the page. And basic things like undo are hard to find! I think MS has overdone it this time.

I couldn't get past the first step, & there was no help line info. included!
Fills the Bill but a bit funky October 11, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this product in order to get Word on my home PC - find it a bit difficult to navigate vs the version I have at work - don't know if this is the product itself or Windows Vista - EVERYTHING is funky in Vista.
Vista improvement. October 11, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
LOADED WITHOUT COMPLICATIONS ON WINDOWS VISTA. MUCH PREFERABLE TO USELESS WORD PRODUCT INCLUDED IN VISTA PACKAGE. (TRIED EARLIER WINDOWS OFFICE VERSION, COULDN'T MAKE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR OVERIDE WHAT WAS DOWNLOADED AT DELL.)
mixed reaction October 11, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I agree with a previous reviewer that we don't need to see "non-commercial use" at the top of every doc. Adds clutter. I have found navigating the tool bars time consuming as I learn the new layout. To solve the problem that older versions cannot read 2007 docs, I downloaded a free pdf writer and now 'print' my docs as pdf files before attaching to emails. Having been a Works user at home, I am enjoying the versatility and ease of creating powerpoints, flyers, newsletters etc for my various volunteer organizations. Like any change, it takes time to adjust to someone else's decision as to what is an improvement and what is change simply to make something else obsolete!
