My Garmin got stolen out of my car a month ago which is why I had to get the same one. If you are going to various places of interest, it will give you the first one (closest one) first and then the further ones down the line. It gives you the miles from where you are which is very helpful. If you are in traffic, you can press a button called "Detour" and it will take you another way.
I have a built in GPS in my car (HYBRID) which takes forever to load and press button so this is a better and quicker way to program to go somewhere. I would NEVER get another product ever.

Comparing the tomtom1 3rd ed to the Garmin 330...
In Indiana, my new tomtom is receiving signals from up 8 satellites. My new Garmin c330 often loses a connection, leaving a void in usefulness, similar to a cell phone dead zone. I returned the 330 for a replacement 330 after one week and the replacement is similar in connectivity. The 330 is only connecting to one satellite at a time.
Operating as designed? Antenna Strength? Garmin? Who knows...
Both units function well when receiving a signal.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE GARMIN C330 THAT I WENT OUT AND PURCHASED TWO OF THEM FOR MY PARENTS FOR CHRISTMAS AND WAS AMAZED THAT I FOUND THEM AT
A GOOD PRICE, THEY WERE WORTH IT, WAY TO GO AMAZON !!!!!!

Should have come with updated maps...I have had to order updated maps from Garmin and am still awaiting them to arrive...additionally, I did not know that I was getting a refurbished unit UNTIL I opened the box!

I was very impressed with the price. It is my first GPS unit. I came in a white box but I didn't care about this. Very easy to use. I loaded the included software and plugged in the USB. Wow nice Garmin software, just click and it does the update so smoothly. I thought I would try to create my own points using Google Earth and the POI loader. Once again it was slick and I put all the local arenas and family locations in for the wife. Really good value for what you get. The unit came with the windshield mount/power unit, 12v power cord , software, USB cable. I would buy another Garmin no question.
