Cheaper than other vendors, but it works great. Faster aquistion of signal, no fade outs.
 Not a performance enhancer July 8, 2006
The remote antenna for my Garmin grabs more satellites and increases performance. This antenna did not increase signal but allowed me to move the Magellan down on the console where I prefer it. So it depends on why you are buying it.

Just as advertised and considerably cheaper than the OEM version. Works like a charm and is very versatile.
Big Improvement Over Stock Antenna February 6, 2006

With the stock antenna it took a long time to aquire the GPS Sats. Also in bad weather (rain & clouds) many times it would not receive the signal at all.
I purchased this antenna and mounted it on the roof. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I never loose the GPS signal. I recently made a trip from NJ to Idaho. It performed flawlessly all the way.
I absolutly recommend this antenna.
I just ordered a second antenna for my work vehicle.
