4 out of 5 stars Nuvi Vroom! Vroom!   May 7, 2007

Small, easy to use, purchase driven by other reviews. The product works as expected - right out of the box. Intuitive touch screen, no learning curve. Bought this product in April 2007 and it did not know my address in Orlando that exists before April 2006. Also, when there is no destination provided, it shows the driving speed - this is good, but it remembers your max speed - this could be good news for a cop and bad news for you.

4 out of 5 stars The Garmin 350 great for Travellers   May 7, 2007

When I travel to the US I need to rent a car, unfortunately not all Car Rental Companies have GPS available, so I'll have to print from Mapquest or Yahoo prior to arriving there, and then be restricted to those loations. The Nuvi 350 was an excellent purchase, fits into my pocket when I'm travelling to different states, and when I switch it on, it automatically registers which state I'm in.

The only reason this review got 4 stars has to do when the unit locks up, unfortunately you may not even know figure whats wrong until you no longer hear any directions spoken out, also if you are on a highway and not expecting any feedback that can lead to problems, thats why its good to check on the display every once in a while. This happened only a few times, but I would recommend this product to anyone who travels to the US regularily. In fact it pays for itself after, 35 days.

4 out of 5 stars Nice but not perfect   May 7, 2007

This GPS is very nice, though I have found a few routes that the GPS came up with that were not the quickest. But I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Garmin Nuvi350 which I purchased 2 months ago is helpful to me in my trips. But some times it misleads. Even when I drive as directed by it, it goes to recalculating, sometimes...and suggests different routes. On one occasion it gave me entirely a wrong direction; when I had to turn left and drive 2 more miles to reach the destination, it gave me the direction to turn right and at .2 miles, it said that I reached the destination. But in general it is helpful. On the safer side better to have a print out of mapqest or google maps. Don't fully trust it.
