Its Great! May 4, 2008 I really enjoy this item! Its my first gps and so far it has not let me down direction-wise. There was one time it wouldn't come on but I realized to just push the reset button. Sometimes it can be a little slow with acquiring satelites but when it picks it up your good.
Mostly good but a little bad May 4, 2008 I love this device in general but once in a while it seems to have a mind of its own. Once I was looking for a restaurant which has been in existence for more than 6 years but the Garmin did not find it and instead sent me to one several miles way in another city. The same thing happened for a retail store which has not been at a location in the memory of the folks who are now there. The Garmin I have has a 2006 map so these two events are puzzling to me.
I want to have greater confidence in the directions but these two incidents make me nervous about just trusting the directions given.
Nuvi 350 is the best May 4, 2008 the Garmin nuvi was a great investment. Its vary easy to use the size is just right. it has every thing programed in all ready. I took it on a trip for the first time and It fond every thing I wonted like Hotels restaurants and points of interest that I wonted to fine. The best thing is gets you back on track if you make a wrong turn. I love my nuvi 350
Garmin nüvi 350 3.5-Inch May 4, 2008 I chose this product for it's portability and ease of use. Operation is extremely easy, and directions are very percise. Easy touch-screen operation allows for quick programing of routes. Routes can be saved in "Favorites," for easy recall/re-use. Have not played too much with the "Travel Kit" features yet. Only drawback is that I have not figured out how to program or notify Garmin of corrections (i.e. locations changing names... Food Lion to Bloom). I assume there is a process that Garmin may have for this. I would also have LOVED an alarm clock feature for travel. All in all, after much research, I'm extremely happy with this unit. It fits my needs and does the job when I need it to.
Terrific! Makes driving to new places more enjoyable May 4, 2008 Everytime we go to a new place, getting reliable directions is nearly impossible. Mapquest or Google directions help, but pale in comparison to the text-to-speech directions plus adjustable map display that updates every second automatically to what is happening real time. Gone is the stress of how to get there. Gone is the stress of what to do if you miss a turn, especially at night.
We find ourselves enjoying the journey now. It is so intuitive and easy to use that it seems to offer just what you need when you need it! Gone are the safety issues around confusing directions and fumbling for maps while driving. This unit even plays recorded books or music for your enjoyment. Yes, the play is paused temporarily while directions are spoken.
Wish it could do more? Maybe it does! There are a range of included and optional features available in different models. We chose the model that included the features we knew we would use and also the capability that we might want in the future. Units including more features cost more.
