4 out of 5 stars Very user friendly   June 14, 2008

After owning one of these for over 6 months, I think it's great. Not only is it EXTREMLY user friendly and self explanatory, it also nice being able to choose a decent restaurant when your in an unfamiliar area.

Only thing I didn't like was the detour function. Doesn't seem to be very helpful at suggesting alternate routes when you encounter a detour.

5 out of 5 stars Love it!   June 9, 2008
Should have bought one of these things long ago! I'm not one to read the directions first, and that tends to get me into trouble down the line. However, with the Garmin c330, it was not a problem. I took it out of the box, punched in an address, and took off for Covington, KY. I'd still probably be driving around Cincinnati, OH if I didn't have the GPS!
I tend to be directionally disfunctional and I'm a man, so I'm not likely to stop and ask for directions! I'm sure the newer (More expensive!) models have more features, but this unit meets my needs very well!

1 out of 5 stars The worst customer service ever!   June 5, 2008

I got the c330 model in November, 2007. It had been nice until April, 2008. All of a sudden, it began not to be recharged and keeps popping up "LOW BATTERY" message.

I contacted the customer service center by email and they replied me three days later to test if it works with an USB cable. But it wasn't recharged and I let them know. Three days later, they emailed me to send the GPS unit. I sent it in the original box. About 10 days later, the device came back but the problem was not fixed. And the original box was changed into a typical package box.

I emailed them again and they replied me three days later to test it by master reset. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. So, I let them know the result and they emailed me three days later to resend the unit (This time, they mentioned not to send the unit in the original box. Very funny!). I sent the unit again with a written message asking them to test if it works fine after repair and to send it back in the original box if possible. I got it back after about 10 days later not in the original box and it again shows the same symptom.

At this point, I'm really getting mad. I've spent a lot of time and shipping costs on this matter but it's not fixed yet at all !!! And there has not been any explanation about the lost of my original box.

I've already sent another message about the problem today (June, 2008) and I expect they're going to reply me three days later. They may give me another instruction that may not be working. And I need to send it again (This will be the third time). If it won't be working again, I'm going to smash it on street.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent Product   June 1, 2008
This is an incredible item. I only had a problem with 2 things. It does not recognize new roads (obviously) and you can get lost for a few minutes if you take a new path (it still tracks you, just thinks you are in a field or something) and it does not give you directions under special orders, such as NO FREEWAYS. I do not like to take the freeways in Southern CA and it will only give me directions that way.

I purchased this item, and i can say i cant be happier.I was unaware how vital this is to finding places and things.i can now find places close to me such as: atms/banks/streets/offices/airports/cities/supermarkets/food/my favorite places/airports and many other places.it shows my speed, the time and even has a trip meter.i am a person who didnt think this was a good item, till i tried it.now i am fastenated by it.I highly recommend it!.For the money, this is the best one c330.i took 2-days searching for the best one for the money and this was it.i can think of anything it doesnt have.i have already downloaded the 2009-maps on it.You can enlarge the screen on demand to fit your eyesite.YES, I recommend it!.
