1 out of 5 stars Do not buy this unless...   November 3, 2008

After verifying that it would work with my equipment on Logitech's website, I bought it and sure enough, it really did not work with 2 of the 3 that I had. Many hours later, I finally got it manually programmed well enough to make use of it. 5 minutes later, it crashed. So if you are lucky enough to have equipment that it works with first time out, then lucky you. If not, then you will likely throw the thing against the wall like I did. It was rugged enough to take the hit, so instead, I had to bend it in half, thoroughly completing its destruction with my bare hands before chucking it back in the box, while hooting in sadistic glee.

One final thought: What kind of idiocy is it that allowed them to write software for programming the remote that must have internet access to work at all? I can see updates done this way, or occasionally uploading the settings for safe keeping, but that is about the limit. This is just too stupid for words.

5 out of 5 stars Couch potato heaven   October 25, 2008

This remote replaced the 5 remotes I used for my home theater system. It even supports my hdd media player which is not supported by multi-brand remotes. Works great!

5 out of 5 stars This. Thing. Rocks!   October 25, 2008

Finally, the universal remote that does everything I want it to. It controls all of my media devices, turns everything on and off with a single button, and I never have to "switch inputs" or go through some convoluted sequence of keypresses to get what I want.

I've had mine since May. If I was a bit wealthier, I'd get these for every one of my friends and family for Christmas. Maybe next year, guys.

5 out of 5 stars Didn't think I needed It   October 24, 2008

A friend talked me into getting this. I didn't think I needed it. I was happy with multiple remotes. I'm glad he did talk me into it. I didn't realize how great it is to have one remote that can be set up to turn multiple items on and off. It's really easy to set up and you can tweak it unlimited ways.

4 out of 5 stars Great Remote, Excellant Customer Service   October 18, 2008

I gave this remote 4 stars only because it was not as easy as I thought to program it with my Samsung flat screen, Samsung sound system and Fios cable box. It just wouldn't do what it was supposed to do no matter how many times I tried to program it. I called customer service that did some things on their end to get it to work. I have to give 5 stars to their customer service department who are patient and excellent in helping you if you can't figure it out on your own. My advice is if you are having a hard time getting it to work, don't get frustrated, and call their customer service department for help!
