Let me down badly (Garbage) August 23, 2007 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought the 910 last May. I was traveling in MA when the tom tom quit working. No mattter what I did it simply decided not to work. My trip was ruined to the lack of navigation. So do not trust Tom Tom 910. Called their service, very poor answers and now they want me to send the machine to the east coast at my expense for a turn around time of one month. Buyer beaware!!!

Great navigation system, very few errors and quick route recalc. Celeb voices are disappointing. I downloaded John Cleese and was expecting a Python-esque or Fawlty Towers type Cleese, but instead got the actor. A little humor, but no abuse. I have no reason, based on that, to try Dennis Hopper or Mr. T.
I love the navigation system. The 20GB allows plenty of space for ALL of the maps with plenty left over for MP3s that can be played via the car's FM using the add-on mount (purchased because the original broke, of course). here in Europe, I happily travel through throughcountries without hassle. If I visit the States, the US/Canada maps are there as well.
Updating software and maps (as well as plus features) is done via PC with an included USB bracket. Very handy. I also install Bob & Tom Show MP3s this way. I guess you could do music... ;)
Plus features include (at extra cost) "safety" camera locations, the celeb voices, traffic updates -- but this requires a link with your cell phone -- I believe others do it through the nav system itself -- that would be very handy when dealing with a German 'stau', as well as others.
But if you don't want to be annoyed, look elsewhere as well. The windshield mount sucks. 1 star. It droops. All the time. And eventually, because a lousy design (TomTom knows this) it breaks. And you'll spend $50 U.S. buying a new one.
The mount is THAT annoying. And don't expect the 'geniuses' in support to be much help. Had to buy a new mount through the 'net due to their cluelessness. So, a great nav system with a lousy mounting system and poor support.
Do some serious research before you buy a nav system. Good luck.

What a junk! Can even start this thing. Don't buy it. Don't even consider this. Stay away from Tom Tom. It took me three hours to figure out, but failed to do so. So I'm returning it.
Great device! August 17, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I left on a driving trip the day after receiving the TomTom GO 910. It is very easy to use: programming, reading the screen, and hearing the directions. Can't say enough good things about this device which literally told me where to go whenever I had to find any place from a residence to a business to a restaurant. I'm thoroughly sold on it!
