c530 provides a secure feeling while driving anywhere. and if you miss a turn due to traffic the recalculation feature is so cool..
my vacation travel is never enough time to do everything. yet with the c530 i got my crabcake sandwich after arriving late at bwi on a firday evening. a great travel companion!

I have been using gps devices for many years and have always relied on Garmin for top quality products. My latest is the Street Pilot c530 which has proved to be giant steps ahead of anything I have ever tried. After only a month of usage, it has become an indespensable piece of equipment. I read dozens of positve reviews and talked to several actual users and agree with all that this is a product almost without flaw. It leads you to almost anywhere you might to go with very little help and the directions are clear and easily understood. I thought this was close to being the best buy in the entire line because of the extra new hi tech features such as the SIRF chip that picks up satellite signals even through the roof of the store or at home. That coupled with the extra bright screen equals the top of the line and saves big bucks. The c530 goes with me eveywhere now and it's fun just to have the map turned on even in areas that are familiar.Buying from Amazon can't be topped. I'd rate it more stars if it was available!

left baltimore airport in a rental at 10 pm. plugged in the c530. searched restaurants for timbuktu, heard they have the best crabcake sandwitches. there it was! pressed go! took us there in 12 minutes. left timbuktu. searched the grand hyatt in washington, pressed go! took us directly to the motel. no fumblin with maps in the dark. dc can be a bear. left dc after 2 days. typed a friends house address in philadelphia. followed the garmin right to his front door. never felt so secure travelling before. anyone who travels should have a garmin. you'll love it!

4 out of 5 stars Excellent Choice   February 20, 2007

I recently traded in an Infiniti G35 that had a nav system for a new model without. I find that the c530 GPS Vehicle Navigator is far easier and more convenient to use. The only thing I've had trouble getting used to is its position on the windshield. I keep confusing it with my rear view mirror!
