i bought the gps for my 2 wk vacation to orlando, i recived it as promised by amazon with no charge of delivery.
this tomtom gps was the difference of having a great vacation a not a horrible one, i saved time, fights with my wife of which directions to take, reroute in a second and is very accurate, never let me down.
this 200 usd investment also saved me arround 15,000 usd....yes 15,000 usd, one day coming back from a park we decided to stop ina kentucky fried chicken in the way back the hotel, we ate and leave the restaurant, 5 minutes away from the hotel my wife told me that she forgot her purse in the restaurant, of course i tried to confort her, until she told me that her credit card with 15,000 fifteen thousand dollars credit limit,with out used a penny yet, was in the purse....i really freaked out big time, imagine u stop in a restaurant you dont know where the restaurant was, how long can u take to ask, and try to find the same restaurant almost at 10 pm.
well as i went to the kfc by the reference of the gps on the points of interest that are coming in the tomtom one, i just click back to priors trips, and i went back in less than 20 minutes to kfc with out having a clue where the restaurant was......awossooooommmmmmmmmeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
whe got the purse back and my 200 usd investment became in to a saving of 15000 dollars,thanks to this beatiful gps.
and it really works out of the box, the only recomendetion is to call first where u want to go to find the adress, tom tom will do the rest for you..............is great!!!!!!!!!

Purchased for a two week vacation to travel down the east coast from NH to VA and back home. Got us everywhere successfully even right down to actual street addresses in inner city Baltimre and Washington, DC. A more detailed user manual would have made learning how to use
the unit easier although we did learn through trial and error. We were very glad to have TomTom on board with us in unfamiliir territory.

We bought the TomTom One on the first day of our 3 week holiday and it arrived on Day three! What a gem - just plugged it in and off we went. If we needed a tourist site, hotel, gas station or a restuarant - 2 clicks and we were driving like locals! TomTom is unbelievable in county lanes and stunningly powerful for geting around the urban jungle - but it has a great finale when you leave the car. You can roam around parks and city streets and it tells you where you are and gets you back to the car directly and safely. A truly indispensable travel tool - if you leave home without one, dont worry - just call Amazon!

On a trip from Michigan to Arkansas the TomTom was very good until I got almost to my destination. Road work was going on in the area and the TomTom was confused. Other than that it was fine.

This replaced the one stolen from my car a week before, just in time to take it to the Netherlands with the map of Europe in it. Could not have gone anywhere in Holland without it.
The TomTom is a very useful item; but considering my experience with the theft next time I get a car I'll have it built in!
