Dont buy at this price This model has been replace with the 3nd Edition. I brought my at a local auto store peboys for $119.00 No problem with updates software on there web site install tomtom software on pc connect to internet and it ask what update you want and that was it. Download and install and also back up to pc. yes it reroutes very quickly. I refuse to listins to it beliveing it was takeing me the wrong way turn out I was wrong and rerouted me on steets i never hear of but got me right to where i was going. I also was in a round about and no clue what turn to take well it work like a charmed. So for the price it well wrong having. I live in Las vegas and there is areas you do not want to get lose in. If any thing else i would buy it for safety reason. yes battry life is short 4 hours I dont plan on going hiking with it so its plug in all time in my car.If not its plug in the my pc. The only downfall is at my age it hard to see the small screen with out reading glasses and can not drive with reading glasses so that where the voice comes in handy. Also by the way the choice of voices makes it easy to understand. Yes the tomtom one has bluethoot and the new one does not. Some phones wiil work with it my does not but i can live with that. one more i like it show you you have to makke uturns. Save my bums.

I ordered this GPS for my husbands birthday. He was very thrilled. We opened the box on November 14th and the next day everyone started running these same GPS at almost $90 cheaper in some cases. I was very disappointed! It's working fine so far, but sad to say this amazon deal, wasn't a deal!

1st GPS for me. Worked great right out the box when I bought it in late Sept. By mid-Nov I was ready to register on-line and hooked it to my computer. TomTom froze. Two calls to tech support and left messages. No call back. Third call, three days later and a call-back. They said the system HD was fried and must return and it'd be repaired in 14 work days (nearly a month in real time). I asked for an immediate replacement and they said, "it's not our policy but Amazon might help." Amazon's not so keen on replacements after 30 days. Now I wait.
Good news - if you're looking for something easy, out of the box, quick set up and good value, TTOne is it. But look around (off-line too) as the price is dropping quickly. If you don't need Blue-tooth, up-to the minute rerouting or traffic problems and just need to find your way from Point A to B, TTOne is it. It does get a little snippy with you (turn around at the next intersection) if you go off the recommended path but quickly adjusts. And in a metro area (NYC or D.C.) it may send you the wrong way on a one-way street SO be responsible for your actions - TomTom does make it easy to forget where you're going by just listening to the nice voice and following instructions (sometimes, but only about 2% incorrect). Good value, I'd buy it again and it's small and you can fit it in your purse or jacket pocket.

I have used the TomTOm locally and in various states around the US. It works very well and is very helpful. Great value for the money.
