Excellent mount for Garmin Nuvi 350 October 19, 2008

 Friction pad works great October 18, 2008
Pad works as advertised and stays in place letting you position it anywhere you like. My concern is the ball mount on the back of the GPS unit itself. It is already starting to loosen up in less than a month of ownership and I do not see a fix for it except the need to keep purchasing new ball mounts which would add up quickly.

I was wary when Amazon's rep recommended I buy this with my Nuvi GPS; however, it is amazing how well it works, keeping the unit in place.
Garmin Friction Holder for GPS October 18, 2008
This is what Garmin should give with the unit. No tale tell signs on the windshield and it works. I was not a believer until I tried it after a friend got one and told me it worked. I was ready to try anything. The suction cup is terrible and does not last. I got a new one and I took it off once, and that was it. Vaseline worked, but it was a mess. There may be friction units that are after market and work (I saw one that was $10 or #15 and the reviews were all positive, but this one works for sure. A bit large to hide, but you can get it done. Worth the price, but I would have tried an after market myself, but I didn't look and didn't see the one I mentioned until after I bought this one..

This is a fantastic product! It's so much easier than using the windshield suction cup mounts, and it doesn't obstruct your vision. I HIGHLY recommend this product.
