Portable friction mount nuvi 360 January 27, 2008
I bought the Nuvi 360 for my wife and ordered the windshield mount with it. It was ok but difficult to find a place where it didn't block some portion of view. At night the display can be distracting if the brightness setting is too high.
Enter trying the friction mount:
1. It absolutly stays where you put it on the dash
2. You can place it where the driver sees it or where both driver and passenger can see. Passsenger can manipulate controls while the trip is in progress without distracting the driver.
3. You can easily take it off the dash and put it in the floor or behind the console when parking to avoid broadcasting it's presence to would-be thieves. It was the best answer for us and we are very happy with the decision to buy this type mount. Wish I had this info when buying it orginally.

The mount seems very stable and I live on a curvy street. I do still wonder what will happen if I have to stop real fast?

Excellent product--sure beats the windshield suction mount--not only that, it is easy to hide & leaves no tell tale suction cup marks on the windshield.

I use this for my nuvi 200W. It's awesome. The nuvi doesn't move while I'm driving, even when the driving gets a little crazy. I highly recommend it.
