A great mounting solution... January 27, 2008
I purchased this mount along with the Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS for my wife, and it has been great! It's a little bulky, but for the ease of being able to take it off the dash whenever we park somewhere more than makes up for it. Unfortunately it doesn't fit into the glovebox if you leave it all assembled (if you remove the arm from it, it fits, but that's a little of a pain to do every time) but it goes under the seat nicely. Also, the rubberized underside grips the dashboard perfectly. It hasn't slid around once. I definitely recommend this mount for anyone needing something different from the suction mounts.

This product works well. I have a Chevy Uplander and it holds onto the dash well. It turns easily for viewing by either the driver or co-pilot, and drops out of sight when not in use. Good buy.
Great Item a must have January 26, 2008
Works great!!! Little pricey but I purchased one for me and my parents! Has not slid around once since I had it and it is easy to place down out of sight. It would be nice if they came out with a brown and dark gray version to match the color of the dash. I use mine on a Chevy Truck.
Garmin friction mount January 25, 2008
I found the Garmin Friction Mount to be inovatiove and usable. It fits well in all of my vehicles and stays in place while driving. It has a clever attachment, which easily enables removing the Garmin without taking the entire mount. Taking the unit from one vehicle to another is very easy. I recommend this mount if you have a Garmin that is compatible.

We found the Garmin to be a handy little device even though we did not follow all the directions. In one case, it led us into a deadend street which is not easy to correct when you are driving an RV and pulling a vehicle on a tow dolly. Finding RV parks and certain types of stores was very nice.
