Works well, and solves the mouting problem October 17, 2007
We can now clean off all the suction cup marks from the windshield. We are relieved that the GPS won't be falling off the windshield right when we need it most. This is an elegant solution for mounting the GPS. We are using it with the Garmin i5, which isn't specifically listed as a compatible model.

Previously, my car was broken into(window smashed), because the petty thief saw the suction cup mark on the inside of my windshield. Suction cup marks are what thieves look for because it sometimes indicates a valuable piece of electronics like a GPS or Radar Detector that might be hidden in the car.
This Garmin friction mount solved my concern 100%. I now can leave the mount in the car(hidden), and take the GPS unit with me, and feel much more secure since there are no more indications to prying eyes.
I love it!

This item is way too big and gaudy looking in my car. My window mount was much more discreet. I returned this product right away.

When I first purchased my Nuvi, I used the suction cup attachment, but the Nuvi kept falling off. Now I use this mount, and it stays put on my dash board whether it's dusty or not. It only moves when I move it. I love it!!
Better than Expected October 13, 2007
After reading reviews on this, I thought it would be much bigger and bulkier than it is. I was very pleasantly surprised how small it was. It works just great with my Nuvi 250W. Very stable and doesn't move at all. I like that you can put it anywhere on the dashboard that you want and no ugly suction cup things on the windshield. Also like that you can totally hide it when not in use. Leaves no signs that you have GPS at all. Would highly recommend this product!
