This mount is great if you want the GPS in any place the dash or console. This was better then mounting the gps to the windshield.

The portable dashboard mount for the Garmin Nuvi was a good purchase for me. I have used the suction cup mounts and they are not very convenient unless you plan on keeping the unit in the same car all the time. My wife and I can easily switch the unit between cars and it stays right where we want it to.

This friction mount allows me to easily use my GPS in both cars. The mount doesn't move at all as I drive which was a concern of mine and there are no suction cup circles left on the windshield or dashboard. It's well worth the money!
Great gift September 28, 2008
I bought one for my husband, and one for my father. Both love this item. I am now buying one for my brother in law. This holder allows for easy in and out of the car, and moves from one car to another. Great accessory to the Garmin.
