I didn't get to use this product in my tests of the Garmin Nuvi 350 last week because everything came in the Garmin box that we needed. The pad seems to be sturdy, and appears to be able to stay in place on the dash, but I never felt the need to use it, hence the three stars.
EXCELLENT January 6, 2008
Ya gotta love a product that does exactly what the manufacturer says. This mount sits on the dash of our 96 bronco and doesn't move a bit, even off road. It helps eliminate vibration and I'm sure it absorbs the shocks that the unit would otherwise be taking. Won't scratch your dash either. Great mount, highly recommend.
Must have accessory for Nuvi January 6, 2008
This mount really does work as well as everybody says. I used this on a 2001 Toyota Celica dash (lots of weird angles) and I only had to move it twice, despite the 2000 miles of driving with potholes, U-turns, etc.
Breaks down in seconds, highly adjustable, protects your car from thieves by eliminating the windshield ring and stupid disc that ruins your dashboard.
The mount is worth every penny. Stop reading reviews and buy it now!
Exceptional product, it really delivers! January 6, 2008
This device works like a charm in my F150. There is a small tray in the top center of my dash, and this little device fits it like a charm! I've also tried it in several spots on the dash, and it sticks wherever I put it.
It works great with my Garmin c530. Really easy to just pick up the whole thing for programming by a passenger.
Excellent mount January 6, 2008
I purchased a Garmin Nuvi and thought that the suction mount that came with it would be enough. It did work quite well, but I was concerned that the place I normally mounted it (driver's window) would cause a charger cord to be across my lap when under power. Also, I had heard that thieves look for the suction cup mark on your windshield to target your car for GPS theft. So I ordered this because my other Garmin unit came with one. This is excellent -- it is easy to snap the unit into and out of, and it is extremely stable. I've taken some hard turns and the unit stays very stable on the dashboard. I'm quite glad I ordered it!
