Garmin January 18, 2008
I purchased two of them and they work perfectly in the car. I would recommend it highly to anyone who has a portable Garmin.
 Large but good January 18, 2008
This product is much larger than I expected from the picture. But it actually works quite well for staying put in almost all driving conditions. It is also easily hidden away when you're away from the car without leaving a suction cup mark which seems to be an invitation to thieves looking to steal GPS devices. Just make sure you have enough dash area for it to rest on.

Great product January 18, 2008
I use the Garmin friction mount for my newly acquired Nuvi 660 which sits on the dash board of the newly acquired Nissan Altima. No black marks on the windshield (also illegal in Mn.) from a suction cup and no left over adhesive on the dash board from the adhesive disc. I have only used the mount for about four weeks but have found that it does not move, holds the Nuvi 660 firmly and I did not need any additional parts for the installation. To my mind it is a bit pricey but rather than have the Nuvi hit the dirt at some time, I would bite the bullet and pay the price. It is a great product.
Garmin Friction Mount January 18, 2008
After many frustrated attempts to use the windshield suction holder, I purchased the Garmin friction mount for my Nuvi. It works great in my 2 cars, stays wherever it is placed, easy to see while driving.
I just purchased a 2nd one to give to my son to use in his cars.
