Product is okay, but rather bulky. Keeps my GPS from sliding all over the place, but the best place I found to keep the friction mount is on the passenger seat, not the dashboard, where it would be easiest to view.
The bulky mount has to be put away to not alert anyone there is possibly a GPS in the car to steal, so I don't get it out very often and it takes up a lot of storage space in the limited compartments in my car.

Living in the south, the window suction mounts kept melting. This device works perfecting in holding my Garmin Nuvi on my dash. Solid product.

This mount is smaller than the original design and holds well on dashboard. Good purchase for this price. They want $45 at Best buy.
Must-Have Product January 14, 2008
This item shipped quickly and was in great condition when it arrived. A must-have for those who purchase Garmin GPS systems. While the suction cup can often be tricky, this friction mount never slides. Also, the middle stand is removable which makes it convenient for storage and/or portability.

I purchased this mount after purchasing my Nuvi and not being happy with the windshield mount, which was hard to remove each time I exited my car. I use it everyday and love the new friction mount. It stays put even during turns, sudden stops, etc. It is very each to put in the glove box and doesn't leave the nasty mark like the windshield mount. I absolutely love it. It is well worth the money.
