Garmin November 17, 2007 Great product. Beats the windshield suction device which is illegal in California. It is very portable and stays in a fixed position wherever placed on the dashboard. It does not move even on a road of pot holes. Great device, works well with my Garmin Nuvi. Highly recommended.
Nice product November 16, 2007 This is a far better alternative to adhesive on the windshield. It stays put on the dash. I can move it to the floor when I'm parked so it doesn't signal I might have a GPS in the car.
Great Mount November 16, 2007 This mount holds my Street Piolt 2720 in position on my dash like it was glued there. Just another super product by Garmin. I would recommend this product to my friends and anyone else who would listen.
Good but needs directions! November 15, 2007 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
This mount came in a box with no directions. The original instructions for Nuvi 370 didn't have directions on how to get the 'ball' into the socket either. So I spent a good amount of time and needed research on amazon to figure out how to put my Nuvi on this mount. To get the ball into the socket you have to apply A LOT of pressure - I would have never done that if I didn't read it on here. They should put the directions on the box. Other than that it seems to be working good.
Ugly, but a "Must Have." November 15, 2007 My car was broken into because I left the windshield mount for my 330 on the glass. In our neck of the woods, the GPS unit is the new radio to steal. The friction mount is ugly, but I can now remove the indication that I have a GPS in the car. Especially since the power cord goes to the unit instead of the mount.
