 Good but needs directions! November 15, 2007

This mount came in a box with no directions. The original instructions for Nuvi 370 didn't have directions on how to get the 'ball' into the socket either. So I spent a good amount of time and needed research on amazon to figure out how to put my Nuvi on this mount. To get the ball into the socket you have to apply A LOT of pressure - I would have never done that if I didn't read it on here. They should put the directions on the box.
Other than that it seems to be working good.
 Ugly, but a "Must Have." November 15, 2007
My car was broken into because I left the windshield mount for my 330 on the glass. In our neck of the woods, the GPS unit is the new radio to steal. The friction mount is ugly, but I can now remove the indication that I have a GPS in the car. Especially since the power cord goes to the unit instead of the mount.
Garmin Friction Mount November 14, 2007
This solved all of my mounting problems and now I have mount, not permanently attached to a vehicle and therefore portable that is legal in all 50 states.

I actually started to use the permanent dash mount that came with my Garmin Nuvi 350, when the window mount stopped sticking, and started falling off every 10-15 minutes.
I am so glad that I checked Amazon for other options and found this device. This device works so great that it's hard to explain. I can only say that if you use the window mount it will fail, and when it does, this is the best solution out there. Garmin should have included this with the original purchase. Knowing how great it works I would have paid the extra $30 up front.

Great mount. Little or no movement. I recommend this mount to anyone who does not plan on using the windshield mount.
