Great Garmin Holder June 27, 2008
This Dashboard Mount works great with my Garmin Nuvi 200W. SO easy to use and easy to adjust on the dashboard; then when you have arrived at your destination you can take the GPS AND the Dashboard Mount and put them out of view until you're ready to use again. Much better than the suction cup holder. Also always fast delivery from Amazon.
Great Alternative to Using a Window Mount June 27, 2008
This Dashboard Mount is wonderful! With all of the news about GPS units being stolen, I wanted an alternative to using the window suction cup mount. It doesn't leave a mark on the dash. I have used it on several long distance trips and it has never fallen off, even with a few hard stops. An added plus is that it brings the unit closer to the driver. MAKE SURE you take the cradle for you navigation unit when you install it. That's how it attaches.

I was skeptical about this thing actually working but, to my pleasent surprise, it works just as described. My Nuvi doesn't budge no matter how sharp the turn. It is also perfect for allowing the GPS to stowed away without giving any indication that there is a GPS in the car (e.g. no rings on the windshield). Definitely recommended.

This little gizmo should be standard issue for any dash-mount device - GPS, radar detector, microwave oven, etc. My F-150 has no flat surface on the dash, yet this friction mount has held my StreetPilot 550 stable under any driving maneuver I have tried to date. It will drift slightly over time, due to vibration (a truck is not the smoothest ride), but it is very gradual and easy to correct. This mount makes it very easy to secure my Garmin, just pic up the whole thing and move to the floor. Sweet. In short, it does everything it is supposed to do and does it very, very well. Wish all my purchases were as successful.
