I own it for a year now , and i am completely satisfied with that gps.I used it in 20 states with over 10 hours non-stop usage and it NEVER crashed ,restarted or anything like that.For over 10 000 mi ,i noticed only a few times differences between the road and the map on the unit.Sometimes it needs a minute or two to locate the satellites and some how it drains the battery even when it is turned off (for about a week) and thats all of the downfalls i can recall.Compared to other gps i have seen mine definitely feels like top of the line.You need some time to study it but after that you'll be amazed how usefull it can be.

It's a really great product. it can catch my speed on time and if i can get wrong turn it can recalculate it in short time.

This GPS works fine, BUT you have to buy $75 map updates for it. I have never written a review before but I wanted to share my frustration about MIO's cust service and their map update policy. I will not purchase another of their products!

Not that user friendly.
I'm living in bay area. It lost me several times. I seldom need to use a GPS.. more correctly .. never! I always look at the google map and I know how to get there, but this GPS is really confusing sometimes.
Moreover, I don't like the text-to-speech content...for example.. instead of calling 101 - highway 101, it will say bayshore highway. and 92 will be another name that I can never remember cause no one here will use that.
I'm going to get rid of this one and try another.

I have used the C230x and do not want to pay $70 for an updated map. So I am thinking of getting a new one, model C520, but I just find out from calling MIO that I will have to pay for an updated map for this model any way. To me, this is bad.
Any way, I drop the idea of buying new MIO. I hope this helps anyone thinking of buying new MIO C230x or C520 because you will have to buy updated map; they should offer updated map free of charge to new customers.
