5 out of 5 stars Love it, Love it, Love it!!!   January 18, 2008
I absolutely love this Magellan Maestro. It is so simple to use, and if you make a wrong turn or if there is unknown road construction for example, it very quickly recalculates, I'd say within 10 seconds. Another feature that was a must for me as a real estate professional was the capability to input multiple destinations. Again, I just love it, not a single complaint, other than I have to keep taking back from my husband!

4 out of 5 stars PRODUCT REVIEW   January 18, 2008
EXCELLENT UNIT.

1. I found that MAGELLAN has done nothing to get rid of glare during daytime hours and this is a MUST FIX situation. I had tried another person's TOMTOM ONE and NO GLARE. Having had the Magellan 760 in the past, I had the same problem.

2. The bell prompt that indicates exactly where the turn must be made occassionally comes too late to make the turn safely, unless you take eyes off the road to read the name of the street on the screen. ANOTHER MUST FIX SITUATION for safety.

ALL IN ALL, THE MAGELLAN MAESTRO 4000 IS AN EXCELLENT UNIT AND I RECOMMEND IT.

4 out of 5 stars Great Buy   January 14, 2008
I've used this GPS system on three trips since I made the purchase and I must say that I'm overall pleased with nearly every aspect of the Magellan Maestro 4000. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5-star review is that it didn't blow my mind entirely and I reserve that rating for products that blow my mind.

This product is easy to use and easy set up out of the box , accurate great points of intrest and quality product, much better than the 4.3 garmin product (POS) I have in my other car

4 out of 5 stars Magellan Maestro 4000 Portable GPS with 4.3 in screen   January 13, 2008
We love our new Magellan Maestro 4000, I gave it to my Husband for Christmas, but I'm the one using it so I can teach him, lol. I'm sure it will be a lot of help and fun when we go on road trips. A couple of things I am not happy about is that my Sister lives on a main US highway (US 581) in Bailey, NC. The road has been there forever, but my GPS does not show it at all, so I couldn't go to my Sister's for Christmas, lol, just kidding of course. Also here in our area of Henderson, NC, we have 2 new roads that were built and that we use a lot, but they too are not on my GPS. Yes, I did a recent update from the Magellan web site. That's another thing, the web site said that this particular GPS had not been updated since the 3rd quarter of 2006, I guess that's when it was put on the market. So I did the update, but still the things I mentioned above were not available. All in all I am very happy with it, it gets me home and to work, lol. I'm sure when the time comes it will also get us where we are going. We will try it at the end of the month when we take a 6 hour trip to western Maryland to my Dad's house.
