4 out of 5 stars Just about accurate   May 2, 2008
I like this GPS so far. It is almost accurate. Seems to be .1-.3 tenths of a mile off when approaching destinations or turns, yet it's close enough that you know you have arrived at your destination or the turn you are about to make. When on the interstate it will tell exactly if you are to make a left or right hand exit. I can't complain about it all for the price I paid. I would recommend it to anyone. When you turn your car off it has a sleep mode to it, and will prompt you to continue on battery or put into the sleep mode. During trips if you make a wrong turn it will recalculate the route for you.

5 out of 5 stars Great little gadget   May 1, 2008
I love this gadget. Road trips are one of my favorite pastimes and my Maestro is always with us. I recently purchased a second Maestro 4000 for my father's birthday and he is just as happy with his. It has all of the necessary bells and whistles to get me from point A to B and I don't have to print up maps from online sites anymore. It quickly reroutes when taking a detour and has a simple "get me home" button. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars magellan 4000 GPS   April 28, 2008
This is a great product for the money. I have used it a dozen times since I got it, and it works great.
It even works in the car sitting on my lap, not even attached to the windshield bracket.
I drive dealer cars between dealers and can't always attach the bracket, so it works well on my lap.
I would recommend it to anyone who drives anywhere.

4 out of 5 stars Maggie Mae   April 28, 2008
Maggie Mae as we call her did the job quite well. The directions were great and I love the little ding that is given when you should be makeing a turn. We have use Maggie on 3 trips so far and arrived successfully. I like that it is very easy to attach to our windshield and them remove when we stop. Keying the directions is very easy, the screen is easy to see, and the voice is loud enough to hear.

This is my first portable GPS unit. Terrific price for this model compared to the competition. All accessories needed for setup are included and simple to setup. The unit itself is straight forward in usage. I have no complaints thus far for what I use the unit for. Battery seems to hold a charge for a reasonable amount of time, but I would recommened dimming the screen to help preserve it. No problems so far and I look forward to years of trouble free use.
