I've picked up three of these over the last 8 months... one for me, one for my lady (oooh my ladeh), and one for my parents. I know this particular model is at the bottom end of the nuvi line of products, but trust me, it makes no difference. You get real value for your money here. It's the lack of all the bells, whistles, and fancy complicated features that make this unit easier to use, easier to understand, and more comfortable in general. Any feature that this unit doesn't have, believe me, you won't miss it. The 200 is very intuitive, simple to reconfigure on the fly, and has NEVER failed me. I'm not the kind of guy that runs out and buys every new piece of technology that comes out. In fact, I avoid it like the plague if I can. But I can freely and happily admit that I don't regret buying this thing AT ALL. I love it. If I thought buying one for my pushing-70 parents was a good idea, then you know it must be pretty good.

I bought this for my wife, so she could drive to her new job and not get lost. The Garmin Nuvi 200 is simple to use and a great travel tool. I have used it while driving to find places that I never knew where there. The GPS is spot on and reminds you to turn so you know exactly where to go. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a great GPS for little cost. Best investment for someone who drives a lot to places unfamiliar.

I bought this for Christas as an entry level GPS, and so far it has worked pretty well. It is very easy to use and it provides clear instructions with appropriate anticipation. I have, however, had a couple of situations in which I have been unable to find places that I know for a fact exist, but that has more to do with the software than the product itself. Overall, I think this is a great entry level device. Some of the features are unnecessary in my opinion - currency exchange, for example - but the device does what I paid for it to do - get me to places.

this was purchased as a gift for my dad who is a tech gadget collector :-)
he found it to be very user friendly and easy to follow the turn by turn directions; great product
