garmin nuvi 250 - excellent February 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'd recommend this for anyone moving to a new area. This has been a lifesaver for me driving around looking at new neighborhoods to consider.

Fantastic service. Quick shipment & delivery. My husband was very pleased. Would buy again.
Perfect for the prize January 24, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My decision to buy the Nuvi 250 was easy-my parents already had the 200 model and I liked it. The 250 was exactly the same, with a Canada map addition. This product is great in size, very thin, accurate, and user-friendly. The voice doesn't stress me out (some other brands sound like sandpaper). If I had to mention one drawback, it's the fact that it didn't come with a protective case. I keep mine in an oversized makeup bag since the suction cup is an awkward size.
I LOVE IT January 22, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great product. If you are prone to getting lost like I am, then this product is for you. I got it over xmas and I LOVE IT. I used to stay close to home for fear of getting lost. Now I go any and everywhere with this thing!!! GREAT PURCHASE!!!!
pretty good gps for the price January 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been using this gps for about a month now in and around Los Angeles, and so far it has been pretty accurate. The turn by turn voice commands do not say the street names (it will just say to turn right in 500 ft instead of turn right on Main Street etc,)and it doesn't necessarily give the perfect route (it would rather give me direction on side streets in some areas when I know that going a bit out of the way and taking the freeway will be quicker,) but all in all the directions it gives are accurate and for the price it is worth it for the maps alone...not to mention it is compact (actually fits in your pocket) and much easier and more intuitive than reading a Thomas Guide or some other map. I swear I am the only person I ever drove anywhere with that can read a simple map...forget about having someone decipher a Thomas Guide! And since I usually do the driving and the navigating, this thing really comes in handy. I did lose the satellite signal when I was driving out in Lake Elsinore, so this could be a downside depending on where you live. But at least for navigating the labrynth of Los Angeles streets, this thing works well, and is definitely worth the price.
