4 out of 5 stars CANT ASK FOR MORE   September 23, 2007

Great stuff. Easy to use. Driven around NY and NJ with it. Instructions are 90% accurate. Some errors in some areas especially where it asks you to make a U turn on a bridge. It also can't tell you whether you are on the right lane especially in highways that have express and local lanes. Screen is a bit small but the voice instruction compensates. Recalculates directions fast. Buy this stuff from Tiger Direct. MSNBC is 40 dollars more expensive. Value for money.

5 out of 5 stars We love our pocket copilot   September 17, 2007

It has been everything we expected. Gives great directions. We have tested it in areas we were familiar with and it was right on target. So now we are very comfortable with trusing it when we are in unfamiliar territory. We took it on a recent trip to Texas and it did a great job of getting us everywhere we wanted to go between Houston and Galviston.

1 out of 5 stars Think twice before making this purchase   August 31, 2007

I recently purchased this product which I am very dissatisfied with. I called technical support since the device could not find maps so the technician decided I should install the software to find out that the software is not supported by Macintosh computers. Not to mention I was on hold for over an hour and found technical support to be very rude and unsuccessful. His solution to the problem was it's a new product it just came out. So basically I have a device that I can't use. I hope you find this review helpful because I don't want anyone to go through what I did.

5 out of 5 stars exceeds expectations   July 2, 2007

This is a great little device. It exceeds expectations. The reviews I read were critical of the LOOX's speed... BUT I find it quite fast. It re-reoutes quickly and getting around the interface is no big deal either. The points of interest are surprisingly detailed! I imagine that I'll be able to find alternatives to fast food chains with ease during future long hauls across the US. It even points out supermarkets!

5 out of 5 stars My husband gave this one to me for househunting   May 27, 2007

We are house hunting right now and my husband gave me this device so I can find my way around. I can say it really helped a lot, especially for house hunting trips with multiple destinations; you can preload all the addresses in route planning, store them, go back to them, sort them and look for Points of Interests in the area, i.e. where are the schools, the parks, the post office, etc. You feel like a local as they say on the packaging. Driving from the airport to the properties, I noticed this feature on the interstate that really helps you guide in which lane to be for the next exit; with all the traffic it is sometimes really difficult to switch lanes on time but this shows you how many lanes the interstate has and highlights with orange arrows which lane you should be in. I also liked the speed sign that gives you an audio and visual alert when you drive too fast. I found it easy to input addresses, Points of intersts or several destinations on a route. If you make a mistake you easily can go back and fix it without starting from scratch. After 2 or so letters it also pulls up a list so you actually don't have to type a lot. The device is small enough to fit into my purse and looks nice, too. To sum it up. Usefull device that gets you places. I recommend this one. Since this review I upgraded my device now to the Navigon 5100.
