over all this product is excellent.
areas that need improvement:
zoom in/out buttons are not extremely easy to use for someone driving in a crowded city like manhatan, i wish there was a faster and better way to the zooming out functionality because while driving in the city i constantly need to have a bigger picture of my path and how close i am to destination.
need faster processing of maps when in street area because when driving in crowded cities you have to decide to turn left or right in a split of a second (you don't always want to follow directions given by the gps),may be having maps with less streets that need to be displayed will increase the processing speed...
my friend is a cab driver, they could make a gps to fulfill the requirements of that community.

The product is extremely functional. While it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles it's a great value. If you are looking for a device that functions as a capable GPS device then this one is for you. Don't expect anything fancy, just the basics. I needed a second device for when I travel and use a rental car. This product works!!

We bought the product after a neighbor recommended it to us and I read a review in the Dallas Morning News. It is everything I hoped it would be.

The bright display and ease of use make this unit a good product for the price. Given the range of GPS prices out there, the ONE XL is competitively priced with less-known brands. While it doesn't offer all the bells and whistles of other, more expensive systems, it does what it's supposed to do and does it well. I wasn't looking for another MP3 player or anything other than a device to get me where I want to go with a minimum of fuss. The XL does exactly that. What else do you need?

It's a life saver in unfamiliar areas. If you make a wrong turn it readjusts its self to bring you into the right direction again. Sometimes it seems to take you out of the way but you find out later that it was the quickest and smoothest direction to your destination.
Having just moved to an unfamiliar town it's great especially for my job as I'm on the road alot looking for new Bible Studies.
I would recommend the TomTom One XL to everyone, especially if you don't like getting lost.
