A696 came with Windows Mobile 6. It works pretty well as a PDA just like A626. People can read reviews on A626 to get some details. I do want to make a few comments on the presentor functions. It connects to a laptop via bluetooth, brings up powerpoint slides, controls slide show, and can bring up slide notes in the pda screen. The presentor is a nice bonus function if you need to make presentations often.
Wifi works but the reception signal is weak.
Function unique to A696 is the GPS. You need to be out of building or house to receive the GPS signals. The GPS software Destinator 6 came with the A696 is outdated, but it still work. It will get you where you want to go, but compared to other GPS device/software, the performance does not impress me at all.
Overall I still like the device, I will give it a 3.5 stars out of 5.
