Excellent Unit June 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Nuvi 200w has been a perfect GPS unit. If you need basic GPS to get from Point A to Point B this is the unit for you. The only complaint is that the performance is slightly sluggish.
I'll never be lost again June 18, 2008 I don't know why I waited so long to buy a GPS. I love it. The screen is nice and big, you can zoom all the way down to a street or zoom out all the way to a map of the U.S. You can also set this for pedestrian or bike route if you are not in the car, or view set coordinates instead of places. This has to be one of the best values in a GPS on the market... but stand by because prices seem to dropping at last on this technology.
Very helpful June 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This GPS system has been very helpful. We have used it for around our area and away on trips. The one thing that is a bit bothersome is the time to find satelites. But overall a really good system.
Garmin nüvi 200W rocks June 14, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Smooth transaction. I received exactly what I bought. This is my first nüvi 200W and is working very good given the fact that I knew its limitations before buying it. Some of the limitation are: It won't give you the name of the street when announcing the turns (is OK for the price); the map it carries is old (probably 2005 or older) so it keeps calling Albertson to Lucky, Wal-Mart that relocated a year ago are misguided and street that were opened in Napa two or three years ago still don't appears up to date in the map(is not OK in my opinion); and finally it takes a long time to locate the satellites when turning it on and if you want to keep it on, its internal battery will go dead in a few hours(no comments). Anyway I am happy, but I whish the map should have come more up to date.
does what I wanted June 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my first GPS and I am satisfied. I wanted a no frills GPS and this one is exactly that. Very intuitive in operation. Some routes it chooses are a bit out of the way but it gets me where I want to go.
