| Customer Reviews:
Happy customer! September 20, 2008 I have this product for over a month now. I am overall happy with this device.
Pros: 1. Nice navigation features (Lane assistant / Reality view). Very useful for new drivers who have difficulty in changing lanes in the last minute. or in busy highways. 2. Bluetooth handsfree quality is very good. 3. The win shield mount never comes off. (My friends who have garmin complain about the mount which comes off very often) 4. Free traffic for life. (Have not used this much though) 5. The voice alert is good and timely. 6. If the next turn and the subsequent turn are close it warns you about that. Very useful feature!
Cons: 1. Routing is not the best route always. (But not very bad as some reviews say.) 2. POI database is not as good as Garmin 3. There is no power off prompt. Even though the screen goes off you might not have switched the device off! It will still consume battery. You need to make sure you press the power button for 6 seconds and then verify to make sure it is off.
Note: Earlier customers had an issue with the charger socket being in the bottom of the device. which was a hinderance to keep the device as low as possible in the wind shield. Now they are giving a charger wire which is bent and is no more a problem
Not a durable Item September 19, 2008 Touch screen not sensetive enough,Small buttons, I didnt like it comparing to my old Garmin.

I love the display and the precision of the directions given. Navigating the options take a little getting used to, but once you figure it out you're good to go.
A mockery! September 8, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm not going to write a very elaborate review about this product because I feel as though I wasted enough of my time and energy on this mockery of a GPS system. I thought this was the newest, latest and greatest GPS on the market.....I was wrong! I have owned 3 systems now to include Clarion, Mio, and Garmin. This would be my 4th and worst! I took a trip to my parent's home in PA. I know the route very well, so I decided to use the Navigon 7100 to see if it could find a better way. Well, I used its routing and have never been so confused and angry at the same time. The route took me the worst possible way and added 50 miles on to my journey. Secondly, I took a vacation to the Outer Banks, NC and relied solely on this navigation system. The trip was supposed to take 6 hours (in reality)....well....it took 9!! The device added 90 miles on to the correct route and completely out of the way. The user interface is the worst I have ever seen! You have to be a tech guru in order to figure this thing out!! The buttons are waaaay to small for anyone (hence the stylus that it comes with). The calibration of the screen is not responsive at all. The mount is cheap and very hard to get on and off. What else..... the horrible reroutes user interface is the worst traffic advisories are worthless The lane assistant (main reason I purchased) is misleading. That is not the actual driving animation. It just shows you a picture of the lanes. The voice is annoying did I mention the user interface? well...it's horrible and very confusing.
I tell people that when you buy a GPS, the device should be so simplistic that anyone can use it.
I wanted to throw this device out the window.
Save yourself and buy a Garmin or Tom Tom
Please do yourself a favor and if you are considering buying this product.....DON'T!! I listened to the 50% positive crowd and should've taken the negative comments more seriously.
Needless to say, the device is on its way back to Amazon and I will be ordering a Garmin.
