This is my fisrt GPS. I would give the TomTom One Third Edition high ratings. It is very easy to use and has worked very well for me on several trips.

I turn it ON and it work, It look nice and classy, I used it for an hour, I turned it off and went to do some shopping and return back and turn it ON and I got a white screen, it freezes, I researched the issue on the internet and looks the problem is all over the place with this model.
I am returning the item today.
However, with the one hour usage I have, I loved it, it is easy to work with and I wished it is not defective.

No a very good product , but not v accurate maps. When i get directions to my home the directions say that i have reached my home as soon as i reach the gate to my community ,If someone was trying to drive to my home with this they will not be able to do so. The street names are not v accurate even after updating the maps. The directions are not always accurate but get u close to the place u want to get to

2 out of 5 stars New software download fixed WSOD   December 24, 2007

My unit arrived just before heading out for our Christmas travels and I used it side-by-side with my older Garmin 2610. Hardly a fair comparison given the price difference, but the TomTom was great - I'm impressed, particularly with the signal acquisition time (very, very quick).

But unfortunately, I get the white screen of death. The unit won't warm start and requires a reset each and every time. That might even be okay if the reset button was easier to reach, because the reset startup is still faster than the Garmin regular warm-start.

UPDATE: early January Tom Tom released a software update that fixes the white-screen problem! My unit now works perfectly and I'm very happy with it. Too bad Tom Tom didn't publish this update where it could be found just with a web search - you have to call Tech Support to get the URL from them.
