I purchased the TomTom because my husband and I decided to take a driving vacation to several Southern destinations. The device was invaluable in saving many wrong turns and arguments.

My Wife has a Garmin but I wanted to spend a little less this time so I tried this Tom Tom.... Talk about get what you pay for. The software is of a much lower quality than the Garmin and not as user friendly. Another thing I noticed is that my battery doesnt last near as long as the Garmin. If you want my humble opinion, spend just a little more and go with the Garmin!

This is usually pretty accurate...even in places that you would think are "off the charts". I wish it could dim a little darker at night, but otherwise I think this is a great GPS system especially for the price. I recommend buying this one unless you are willing to spend crazy amounts of money for features you really don't NEED. Many people I've driven while using this have told me it works better than the one built into their expensive cars.
