1 out of 5 stars Terrible   May 5, 2008

This gps system was terrible! We just moved to a new location and needed this to help us find what we wanted. No matter we typed in the POI section the "no POI found" screen always came up. We have to keep a phone book in our car just so we can type in the addresses of the places we'd like to go. It found the address to certain places but was extremely out of date. Sometimes it gave me the wrong directions and I ended up in the middle of an intersection as the gps said "you have reached your destination". It also does not recognize the new highways that have been built for a couple of years now and still tells us to exit instead of using the overpass. Its also ridiculous that we had to pay the price for this crappy gps system but then we had to pay $61 just to get it updated. This is the worst gps system ever and we are switching to something else.

5 out of 5 stars Great GPS for the price   May 5, 2008
This is our first GPS and we have already made good use of it. It is simple to use and has proven to be quite accurate. The service in shipping and communication has been excellent also.

5 out of 5 stars Meets my expectations   May 5, 2008

I've use a TomTom navigation system before. The only flaw my previous one had was that it would take ages to get a satellite connection, but the new one receives the satellite connection very fast. It has more POI's in it. and makes finding my way around town much more easier. It can make mistakes at times too. But even in that case, if it's a POI you're trying to get at you can find the number to up the place and get directions as well...

I thought it would be hard to follow this unit because it tells you how many yards to turn instead of street names but it actually works out better. If you're in an area where you don't know any street names, yards is a lot more helpful. I have no sense of direction so this unit has been a lifesaver. The only bad thing is that it takes forever to charge on the computer but it does come with a car charger.
