WS of D Here as well! January 1, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm not a competitor. I'm a user. Got this unit on the 14th of December for a December 25 present. Actually started using it on the 27/28. I even attached the unit to my computer and updated all internal software. And yes, every power cycle I got the WS of D (White Screen of Death). Would have to press the reset button to get around this to power up again each and every time!
Took it back for a refund (Walmart has it for $148. Amazon is too high at over $200!). Will wait for merchandise restock, and will try again. Outside the WS of D it's a fun unit, and I'll try it again.
Can't ask for more, it is GREAT January 1, 2008 I gave this GPS to my husband for Chrsitmas, and he loves it. The Tomtom One 3rd edition is so easy to use and has many features. We bought a Nav-Mat so we could use it on the dashboard of our mini van. I also like the price, I have already told my friends to buy it!
Great Item January 1, 2008 The tom tom one works great, does everything you need in a navigation system and gets you where you need to go. It is very accurate with directions and has good sound. It is also very easy to use right out of the box, no installations needed, and very compact. I am very happy with this product.
ONLY ONE PROBLEM December 31, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good GPS navigator, especially for the price. The only real problem I have had with it is, it has to be reset each time it is turned on! So, I reset it, then turn it on. The map is usually right, but occasionally the oral instructions say "keep right", when actually it is showing me to keep left (?!). Anyway, I'm 55 years old, and have been lost more times than I can count, including at least once in every major city in Georgia or Florida. It is just wonderful to be able to see where I am, and how to get back to where I want to be. So far, I think the money is well spent.
TomTom One 3rd Edition December 31, 2007 Great little device, just the basics, easy to use, doesn't confuse easily, quickly syncs up to satellites. At this price, what's not to like?
