5 out of 5 stars Probably the Best!!!   June 27, 2008
I just bought a 260 last week and I am totally 100% satisfied with it. All functions are simple to use and it has everything you need at a affordable price. I could care less about the other functions that more expensive ones have. Unfortunately, I bought mine at Best Buy and I got ripped off by 50 bucks, compared to what it is on here. Don't bother buying one anywhere else. It will more than likely be the cheapest here on amazon..

4 out of 5 stars Traveled to Colorado with few problems   June 24, 2008
We traveled from Michigan to Colorado using our GPS. We were taken to a dead end road in Des Moines. We were able to navigate most places without problems. Sometimes it would call a road by street name and we were expecting a road number. Voice can be annoying at times(but can be muted) especially when you are just getting gas and it wants you to pull a u-turn because you are not on the prescribed route. The best thing was that as the usual map reader, when we were lost the GPS was blamed instead of me!

4 out of 5 stars Very Happy   June 24, 2008
We have had a GPS before and wanted to up grade. This one is lager yet thin, very easy to see when you are driving. We also like the fact then when you have to make a turn it calls out the street name. Over all very happy with this product for the price we paid.

5 out of 5 stars great little gadget   June 22, 2008
This Nuvi solved a big problem for me: reading maps while traveling. I got a chance to relax and enjoy the drive, knowing the Nuvi would get me there.
It had one glitch during a 1,400 miles trip. Mysteriously, while I was on a major freeway, it said it was recalculating and told me to make a[non-existent] left turn. In about 3-4 minutes it suddenly showed the car icon right back on the freeway. It did so well for me that this one glitch was not a big deal.

Two things I like are being able to get off the freeway, go into a town for food and not worry about the turns to get back on the freeway, and the other is being able to find out ahead of time when a turn is coming up and which lane I should be in.

5 out of 5 stars Garmin 260 3.5inch portable GPS Navigation   June 22, 2008
Purchased this as a gift for my son. He said it is as good as all the high priced ones. Just plug it in and go.
