I like this gps very much except the power button locked up a couple of times. Otherwise, easy to use and fast reception.

This is a very easy to use GPS system. Love it. We took it on the airplane with us to Florida, got there, put it in the rent car and off we went....worked great. My kids took it from there to Georgia and then back to Texas. Have had absolutely no problems.

5 out of 5 stars Great GPS at a Great Price   May 23, 2008

I bought the Magellan Maestro 3250 last week for a summer filled with road trips. I tried it on a short, 6 hour, road trip last weekend and was very pleased. I did an enormous amount of research on all brands, models and prices and this unit has the best features. The text to speech is the best. I don't have to look at the screen to see the name of the upcoming street. Also, the routes have been accurate. A lot of people complain that the system will take them a "longer" route but you have to remember, you may think it is shorter distance or time-wise but it may not be. Also, you may have the system set to least use of freeways or quickest time. Basically, it may be user error.

Also, the product comes with 3 months of the traffic subscription that will re-route you according to traffic delays. Haven't had to use it yet but I am looking forward to it. Lastly, the Bluetooth feature is what sold me on this GPS. Handfree calling when I link my Blackberry - fantastic!!!

1 out of 5 stars Be cautious!! Chose a different brand   May 22, 2008

I'll keep it brief. Customer service is beyond non-existent!
Bought hand held unit, worked fine in US.
Bought Direct Route EU, software. Would not load on unit.
After 7 months yes 7 MONTHS of emails/letters/ phone calls.
Magellan finally agreed to exchange, but they sent wrong software.
THEY DO NOT CARE, and just give me a run a round AGAIN.
So I have a useless GPS.
